Studies have shown that multitasking can actually harm your brain. Subjects who were asked to finish a task whilst multitasking demonstrated a drop of IQ as compared to those who stayed focused. In fact, the group who multi-tasked showed a drop of brain activity comparable to those who were sleep deprived or had taken a mild sedative.
