Summertime, and the living is easy... There’s nothing like a cornet of delicious ice cream to counteract the smouldering heat. But the mouth-watering treat bears the risk of giving you brain freeze! To even things out, you should try and heat up your brain, and what better way to raise your cerebral temperature than solving a few challenging math problems? Get yourself a popsicle and have fun with this entertaining video quiz!
Apart from solving math problems, there’s another way to help brain freeze: just press your tongue against your palate to warm up the temperature receptors – this will end the ‘alert status’, i.e. the headaches that are supposed to warn you that your brain is at risk of hypothermia.
