Interesting fact:

The first ever Ferris wheel debuted at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago. It was a sight to behold, at 264-feet tall, but was sadly demolished 13 years after its majestic debut. The current 150-foot tall wheel at Chicago’s Navy Pier is modelled after the original one. The manager of the wheel rode it for more than two days, going around 384 times!
