There is an actual scientific term for working with any kind of puzzle – enigmatology. There are accredited classes of enigmatology offered at the University of Indiana by the one and only accredited professor and creator of enigmatology, Will Shortz. As of 2019, the program has only conferred one degree holder, Will Shortz himself.
