Interesting fact:

The Studio wanted Tom Cruise as the lead in Edward Scissorhands. They also worried that Edward’s appearance would turn off moviegoers. Maybe it’s the moving scars? Apparently, all throughout the movie the scars on his face keep moving and changing sizes and depth.
