Believe it or not, Mercury, the closest plant to our sun, has ice in its permanently shadowed craters. Scientists believe that this ice came from comets. Nasa’s MESSENGER discovered organics in this ice, meaning that the building blocks for life are there, but the planet is too hot and airless to support any life...or so we think.
