In a study of Einstein’s brain, US neuroscientist Britt Anderson found that some regions in the anterior cerebral cortex were unusually tightly packed, which could explain Einstein’s level of intelligence during his lifetime. Anderson’s rival, Sandra Witelson suggests that the side region of the cerebral cortex, which is thought to be the center for mathematical thinking, was overdeveloped for Einstein.
