Pheasants are very territorial birds, a prime example of which is ‘Phil the Pheasant’ who has terrorized villagers in rural Shropshire with his dive-bomb attacks. Described as a ‘tyrant’, Phil has evolved to see off other male pheasants in an aggressive way, which didn’t do much to comfort the frequently attacked Ms Hudson, who insisted: “I don’t look anything like a pheasant”.
